This rumor kinda makes me laugh. Something about having a rumor about an update to a product that we haven't even seen yet seems comical to me.
I am in the market for a new phone though. Looking at the rumored BB 8800 or the Apple phone if it's up to par. Only time will tell.

So basically Samsung has patented: A clock with multiple time zones in a mobile phone.
How on Earth is a patent like that supposed to promote innovation?
(the original reason we got the patent system back some centuries ago)

Apple will surely manage this, but what about the independent developer with no huge pile of cash to throw at some lawyers? THAT is the problem here.. :(
Are there any cases of giant companies suing indies for patent infringement? I realise it often happens the other way around, but I can't recall a case where some poor indie is muscled out of business via a patent. It just doesn't seem worth it.

Google has become aware of the interest in the word "petabyte." Made me think that Google truly has its finger on the pulse of the world because what is the first thing people do when they hear about something and want more information? They Google it. Seems like, in the way meteorologist predict the weather, based largely on past experiences from which they derive predictions, that Google will soon be able to predict what you are going to enter as your query and instead will simply offer you the answer when you load the Google page instead. And, I'm not even kidding when I think about this to myself.

Hey guys, my screen was full of fingerprints so I wiped it off with my shirt and now it feels sticky when swiping. I also didn't use any cleaning solution. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any ideas on how to make the surface smooth again?

Yes, because the hardware manufactured decided to use "GB" for Gibibyte instead of gigabyte. But since all memory (hardrives, ram) are in base 2, 2^30 = 1GB is correct.

How do you know you will lose the rollover mins? Does it state this?
I'm changing my voice plan as well so yes it states that you can't bring over minutes in excess of what the new plans minutes are. So I'll transfer 450 and lose the rest.
If just changing your messaging package then no that won't effect your minutes.

Sounds like it will be same shape, same screen, same everything externally (hopefully a new antenna though). Explains the lack of parts since they will be using the same parts... What did we see between the 3G and 3GS? A matt back and some internals (dock connector fitting and the camera I believe)?

I hope this means we will see HDMI out on the next MacBook Pros. I really want to be able to use my soon-to-be-had MacBook Pro Core2Duo as a media center too. With that said, here's to hoping the new MBPs have HDMI and the ability to output Dolby PLII and at least 1080i. My current 1.25ghz G4 book chokes on 720p so I never hook it up to my plasma HDTV.

I didn't get a 4 because I was holding out for a bigger screen. I really want to keep buying Apple products. But at this point, if the phone is delayed or the screen is staying the same size, I am going to have to start checking out some of the HTCs. My 3G is almost unusable since OS4.Enjoy! I'm on the original iPhone — but I know whatever I buy will have to do me for 2-3 years so I'm waiting on iPhone 5, no matter what.

But we have to realize that Apple does not want to be predictable. We don't really know just exactly how the JAPAN devastation affected Apple and how it will deliver its products. That could be very well what has delayed things. If this is the case, patience is all we can give anybody at this point. They lost so much.
